QA Engineer

Remote (Europe preferred)Full-timeMid-level

Manual testing focused role. You will be the person who actually tries to break the product before our clients ship it to production.

About the role

We are looking for a QA Engineer who genuinely enjoys finding bugs. Not someone who runs through a checklist and signs off. Someone who reads the spec, asks why, and then thinks about all the ways a real user might misuse the feature. You will work on real client projects across SaaS, e-commerce, and healthtech. You will be the second pair of eyes that keeps our reputation clean.

What you will do

  • Run manual testing on client web and mobile applications across browsers and devices
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports that developers can act on without follow-up questions
  • Build and maintain test cases in tools like TestRail, Notion, or Jira
  • Run exploratory testing sessions and document the journey, not just the bugs
  • Verify fixes and do regression testing on new releases
  • Work directly with developers and product managers during sprints
  • Help define acceptance criteria for new features before they get built
  • Sometimes test APIs manually using Postman or similar tools
  • Communicate honestly when something is not ready to ship, even when it is uncomfortable

What we need from you

  • 2+ years of professional QA experience in a software product company
  • Strong understanding of testing fundamentals: test cases, regression, smoke, sanity, edge cases
  • Experience testing web applications across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and mobile browsers
  • Solid written English. You will write bug reports that international teams read
  • Strong attention to detail. You notice the things that other people miss
  • Comfortable using Jira, Linear, or similar issue tracking tools
  • Self-motivated. You can manage your own work without daily check-ins

Nice to have

None of these are required. They are bonuses that would help you hit the ground running.

  • +Experience with TestRail or other test case management tools
  • +Basic SQL for verifying data in the database after a test
  • +Experience with Postman or similar API tools
  • +Familiarity with browser DevTools (network tab, console, etc.)
  • +Some exposure to test automation, even if you have not built much yet
  • +Experience in regulated industries (healthtech, fintech) is a plus

What you get

Competitive salary in EUR or USD
Fully remote, EU business hours
25 days paid time off
Learning budget
Latest equipment
Direct senior mentorship
Real career growth
Honest performance reviews
